Fender Jaguar Bass Active/Passive 3TS

Um, wow—Fender once again scales new heights of cool with the Jaguar Bass guitar. After all, we did invent the bass guitar, and we did design the Jaguar guitar, and this baby combines both into one unbelievably cool instrument.

Bassists too can now be blinded by the chrome and have more switches and dials than Mission Control at their disposal.

3-Tone Sunburst RW

The alder body comes in cool Black or Hot Rod Red finishes, with a thin, fast one-piece C-shaped maple neck (matching headstock on Hot Rod Red model). The rosewood fingerboard has aged white pearloid block position markers, and the roar comes from two Jazz Bass® pickups with active/passive, series/parallel switching. So incredibly cool—we should’ve thought of this years ago!

Fender Jazz Bass Classic '60s

Our ’60s Jazz Bass captures the essence of the decade; an instrument as tuneful and groundbreaking as the decade it debuted in.

Many of the period-correct details that made the original Jazz basses so cool are spot-on replicated in this classic vintage-vibe beauty—especially the original offset waist, ultra-slim neck and pair of vintage-style alnico magnet Jazz Bass single-coil pickups. Whether it’s early ’60s Motown, British invasion and American garage, or later ’60s heavy rock and soul, this bass embodies a fantastic era in music.

Fender Jazz Bass Classic '70s

Our ’70s Jazz Bass® captures the essence of the decade; defined by striking cosmetics and a bright, full sound. The ’70s saw the repositioning of the bridge pickup (closer to the bridge), creating a brighter tone that cuts through the mix.

The biggest cosmetic upgrade came in the form of gorgeous block inlays and neck binding, which are highly sought after by many bass players. The bullet truss rod completes the visual. Seventies-era Jazz Bass® guitars are widely regarded as the basses built for funk. The offset waist, ultra-slim neck and vintage-style alnico magnet Jazz Bass® single-coil pickups all make this bass very comfortable and familiar.
