The original Daniel de los Reyes LP One Shot Shaker was a stroke of brilliance. It solved the problem inherent in conventional shakers: a strong forward shake with a hesitant return. The original One Shot emphasized the forward shot ingeniously by silencing any extraneous rattling after the fact.
Understandably, it has won industry awards. One magazine put it up for "the Nobel Prize of Percussion!"
The new LP One Shot Shaker Live is an enhanced version of the original and offers louder, more penetrating shots—something that will be appreciated by players on noisy stages with monitors blaring.
Henceforth, in a crowded club no musician or member of the audience will be able to ignore the complex shaking patterns afforded by the LP One Shot Live, irrespective of the volume of the band.
Everything else about the award winning original one shot is preserved: the live "forward" chamber, the silent "back" chamber, and the durable anodized metal bodies (this one in red) that play nice tricks with stage lights. Two shakers come in each box, facilitating double-handed patterns. And again, when players find themselves with just the "down stroke" to worry about, they will create amazingly intricate rhythms, as if they were playing with stick.
The forte, and we mean forte as in loud, of the new LP One Shot Shaker Live, is in the aggressive, crisp—and louder—attack. At LP we realize that not every musician out there enjoys the privilege of close miking. To them, we dedicate the LP One Shot Shaker Live.
Now it’s your turn to cut through the din!
