Hofner HM-85

Each Höfner's master classical guitar is individually constructed by one of Höfner's most senior and experienced luthiers.

By combining only the choicest tone woods with an extraordinary attention to detail, Höfner's craftsmen create instruments capable of translating every nuance of technique into clear, sweet sound.

The luthiers at Höfner prefer to craft the soundboards of our master classical guitars from hand-selected all-solid German spruce. Spruce matures more thoroughly and dramatically than cedar and ultimately gives greater articulation to the guitarist's technique. Its extended bass and treble frequencies also yield a wider, more transparent tone than cedar, which typically emphasizes the midrange.
